The department of General Medicine integrates the specialties of Internal Medicine, Infection Diseases, Cardiology, Pulmonology, nephrology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Gastroenterology & Hepatology and Immunology & Rheumatology disciplines. The Cardiology discipline has a well equipped ICCU with the modern facilities of 2D Echocardiography and TMT. In the near future, there will be extension of this unit with the incorporation of Invasive Cardiology. There is also a 24X7 working ICU unit with 5 Beds well equipped with advance automatic Ventilators, Monitors, Defibrillators and BIPAP, Infusion Pumps and Arterial Blood Gas Equipment. There is also the dialysis Unit well equipped and managed by qualifies technicians under supervision of senior consultants.

Medicine Wards are highly equipped with 120 beds, 60beds in male wards 60 beds in female wards. The wards are under the supervision of highly specialized and experienced physicians. The students are taught in holistic manner by didactic lectures, beside teachings, and demonstration with special emphasis on clinical and practical teaching and training of every student with audiovisual aids.

Apart from General OPD, treating patients for various diseases, special clinics are held for diabetes, Allergy & Asthma, Hypertension, Cardiovascular disease, Endocrine disorders and Immunology & Rheumatology.

This Department provides the basics of the clinical science to all the clinicians whether it is surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, etc eminent, experiences and highly qualified faculty of Department of Medicine. The support of Pathology & Microbiology and Radio Diagnosis Department are available round to the clock for better patients care.
