A licensed blood bank with whole blood and blood components / apheresis is available. Blood bank also has apheresis unit for single donor platelets (SDP). It is available for 24 hours to cater to the needs of critical patients due to accidents, trauma, emergency obstrectical care during the emergency department situations by National Disasters / Calamities for the disaster management, the seasonal high morbility due to conditions like Dengue fever and other hamorrhagenic conditions. Enough stock of component and whole blood is skept ready. The facilities for screening of HIV, HBV and HCV, VDRL, are available as per the protocols.
