Biochemistry

The Department of Biochemistry has been providing its services from the establishment of the institute.

The primary goal of teaching biochemistry to students is to help them understand the scientific basis of life processes at the molecular level and guide them in applying this knowledge to solve clinical problems. Biochemistry deals with the chemical processes that occur in both health & disease.

The department aims to enhance student’s subject knowledge and also supports the institute’s clinical departments in patients care by providing diagnostic facilities.

The Biochemistry department aims to develop into a centre of excellence in education, research and patient care.
